Measurements: 22 cm – height, 15 cm - width


Description: This large fine Phoenician jug features a thick handle attached to the mouth and the shoulder. The mouth is trefoil-shaped. The handle is showing faded black decorative lines. The jug has decorative red and black lines surrounding the neck and the body. The alternating lines are in faded black colour and a darker nuance of red. The jug has flattened bottom moulded into a short low footing.

Period: 850 – 750 BC


Condition: Very fine condition, the colours are faded but uniform. Some encrustation on the surface, earthly deposits below the handle, two chips on the rim of the spout, otherwise intact.
