The second millennium BC can be conveniently divided into two periods – Middle Bronze Age and Late Bronze Age. During the Middle Bronze Age, Amorite tribes from Syria settled across the region. Many large sites were fortified employing massive cyclopean stone blocks. Akkadian cuneiform inscribed on clay tablets was widely used.
Bronze Age Redware Jar
A small globular redware vessel from the Holy Land. The jar features a discoid base and a slightly flaring neck. A simple item with so much history.
Condition: Very fine. Slight chipping to the rim.
