Measurements: 3.3 cm – length, 3.18 grams - weight

Description: A lovely pair of Roman boat-shaped gold earrings with a closed end fastening. On the front side, they feature a drop-shaped red glass bead. They are hollow and have pendants of ribbed cast gold with two amethyst beads and two black beads. The black beads are likely made from glass paste as well.  The earrings are suitable for modern ware if attached to modern gold hooks, which is an easy procedure that won’t harm the items.

Provenance: Swiss private collection 1980’s.

Period: 3rd cent. AD

Condition: Very fine, intact.
