Buddha also known as Gautama Buddha, founded the religion of Buddhism, which is widely practiced across southern and eastern Asia. Buddha is usually depicted in Buddhist art in a number of different poses named “asanas”, each of which has a specific and significant meaning such as compassion, charity, enlightenment and fearlessness.
