Known also as the Middle Ages, the Medieval period covers a large stretch of history, beginning with the decline of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century to the beginning of the Renaissance in the 15th century. This historical period stretched across multiple countries throughout Europe, culminating in advancements in civil and mechanical technology.
