Geometrical Pattern

Geometrical patterns were commonly employed by many ancient civilisations for the decoration of a number of artefacts, from pottery to textiles. Commonly, geometrical patterns were the first to be employed by artisans, before the development of figurative imagery that took their place or further enriched their designs. Geometrical patterns include: linear patterns, circular patterns, trellis patterns and chevron patterns.
